This website is run by Solihull Music. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard

- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We are working with our web application developers and third party suppliers to ensure all our online services meet

PDFs and other documents
Some documents are in PDF format and may not be fully accessible. We are carrying out a rolling programme of reviewing and removing PDFs from our site. In the meantime you can contact us to request any information they contain in an alternative format.
We will ensure new documents essential for accessing our services meet accessibility standards.
Our democracy system relies on the use of PDFs and we are carrying out a longer term project to make these PDFs accessible. Alternative versions of this information are available on request in the interim.
Content that's not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they're not essential to providing our services. However we are reviewing and removing as many older PDFs and documents as possible on an ongoing basis.
Video content
The accessibility regulations do not require us to make pre-recorded audio and video published before 23 September 2020 accessible.
Live video
We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
Online maps and mapping services
Online maps are exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations, as long as essential information is provided in an accessible digital manner for maps intended for navigational use.
What we're doing to improve accessibility
We are urgently fixing content which fails to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard. We will update this page when issues are fixed.
Some of our services that we embed or link to from our website are based on a different technical platform or provided by a third party supplier. We are working with our third party suppliers to ensure all our online services meet accessibility standards.

This statement was prepared on 18 October 2024.
This website was last tested on 18 October 2024. The test was carried out by the web team using Siteimprove. SiteImprove provide automated testing of websites to highlight usability and accessibility issues. All pages and PDF documents within the website were tested.
We also sample tested our web services using a combination of:
- Google Lighthouse (Used by our supplier before deploying any services)
- WAVE
- For screen reader testing we use VoiceOver
- Manual testing
