Inclusive music groups

Picture 1

Our inclusive music groups are free sessions which take place outside school hours. There is no need for any previous experience, just a desire to get creative and have fun!

Each group provides a safe, inclusive space for young people with additional needs and/or complex needs to access and enjoy.

All of our Inclusive Music sessions take place at The Core (Homer Road, Touchwood, Solihull, B91 3RG) which has a Changing Places facility.

Solihull Inclusive Choir

Inc Choir

Solihull Inclusive Choir is a free singing and Makaton* signing group open to all children, young people and their families. The group has a core membership of around 30 young people, aged between 5 and 25 years old and we deliver sessions five times per term, on Saturdays between 11-12pm.

The group celebrates the belief that everyone has their own unique way of sharing their voice.

We aim to be as inclusive as possible and welcome all voices. We actively try to remove barriers to participation from those with additional and/or complex needs.

Music Makers Saturday sessions

Music Makers Saturday sessions are family friendly music making sessions. They enable young people to explore musical instruments as well as short group activities where we sing, *sign and make music together.

Sessions are suitable for all children and young people with additional needs, and their families, who are interested in learning to play new instruments, sing songs and make music with new friends.

We deliver five sessions per term, on Saturdays between 10-10.45am. These are delivered on the same Saturdays as Inclusive Choir on the dates above.

All of our inclusive sessions take place at The Core, located in Solihull town centre. It has an assisted accessible toilet.
