Solihull Music rocks the Royal Albert Hall

Solihull Music teamed up up with Forest Oak school to collaborate on performance for 21 children and young people aged 7-20 years old with additional and /or complex needs. The group performed at the Music for Youth Proms at the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday 11th November to over 5000 people.

The event was generously sponsored by Solihull Young Musicians Support Association who funded the coaches to enable the group to travel to the venue in London.

Orchestra of the Swan Youth Orchestra

Solihull Music is delighted to be working in partnership with Orchestra of the Swan on the October 2025 Youth Orchestra Course.

Swan Youth Orchestra was launched in February 2024 to give school-age musicians across the region an opportunity to take their orchestral playing to the next level. Swan Youth Orchestra (SYO) is for students aged 11-18 at Grade VI level or above, with ensemble

Students are tutored and play side-by-side with professional Swan musicians and Regional Music Hub tutors, developing students ensemble, performance and communication skills. A weekend course consists of sectionals, workshops and full rehearsals, concluding with a public concert at Warwick Hall on the Sunday evening. SYO takes place twice within the academic year, with a course in October and in February.

The next SYO weekend will take place on Saturday 4th – Sunday 5th of October 2025.
