SMC operates on Saturdays to complement and enhance music education in all of Solihull's schools and the wider community. Our primary goal is to create opportunities for instrumentalists of all skill levels to participate in diverse ensembles, fostering a love for music regardless of ability.

Place, dates, and times

The Centre meets at Solihull School, Warwick Road, from 9:00am to 12:15pm on Saturdays during term time. We hold at least 30 sessions each year, with exact dates published on this website in advance. The morning is split into 4 sessions to provide flexibility for all learners.

Access

The centre welcomes all individuals who can benefit from our activities. No audition is required for general admission; however, auditions may occasionally be necessary to maintain balance within specific ensembles.

Rock & Pop Bands

Overview
Our Rock & Pop Bands feature a dynamic mix of instruments, including drums, bass guitar, guitars, keys, and vocals. The bands work on a curated set of songs, which are performed at our exciting Rock & Pop Nights throughout the year.
