Swan Youth Orchestra
Swan Youth Orchestra (SYO) was launched in February 2024 and is open to all school-age musicians across the region, offering an opportunity to take their orchestral playing to the next level.
Students are tutored and play side-by-side with professional Swan musicians and Regional Music Hub tutors, during a weekend course held twice a year at Warwick Schools Foundation premises.
Swan Youth Orchestra is for students aged 11-18 at Grade VI level or above, with ensemble experience. It's ideal for those wanting to develop their ensemble, performance and communication skills. Places are available for: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Oboe, Bassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Percussion, Harp. Reserve places are available for: Flute, Clarinet ,Tuba and Piano

53 young musicians took part with 60% attending from state schools in the region. Conducted by Rebecca Miller – the programme's theme was America.
