Superstrings

This ensemble welcomes players from beginner standard up to Grade 1. Members must have completed at least one term of tuition before joining. Superstrings focuses on orchestral strings: violin, viola, cello, and double bass.

  • Rehearsal Times: 5:05-6:15 pm (with a 10-minute break in the Core Café)

Allegro Strings

Open to players from post Grade 1 to Grade 3, this ensemble also focuses on orchestral strings: violin, viola, cello, and double bass.

Con Brio

This ensemble is for players from post Grade 3 to Grade 6, focusing on orchestral strings: violin, viola, cello, and double bass.

Vivace

Welcoming players from post Grade 6 to Grade 8 and above, this ensemble is for orchestral strings: violin, viola, cello, and double bass.

  • Venue: Solihull Music at The Core, Solihull
  • Rehearsal Times: 6:20 - 7:50 pm (with a 10-minute break in the Core Café)
  • Cost: £52.00 per term

These ensembles provide an excellent opportunity for string players at various levels to come together, develop their skills, and enjoy making music in a supportive environment.



Creative Sounds

Creative Sounds are FREE weekly sessions for pupils with additional and/or complex needs. They are designed for anyone aged 5 to 16 who is interested in learning to play new instruments, write songs, experiment with technology and make new friends. Each group contains around 8-10 members who have additional and/or complex needs.

Group 1 - Wednesdays 4.30-5.15pm

Structured music making sessions using assistive and adaptive musical instruments and hand held percussion instruments.

Group 2 - Wednesdays 5.15-6.00pm

Creative music making and song writing sessions for pupils aged 7-18 (Year 3- Year13) with additional needs.
